“The Seven Feasts of Israel” Leviticus 23:1-44

Are you ready for the Trumpet’s Call? Many prophecy watchers believe the Lord is about to step out on the front porch of His Father’s House and call His Bride to “COME FORTH!”  Their sense of urgency is tied to the Feast of Trumpets, which begins Monday, September 22, and ends at nightfall on Wednesday, September 24. The Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hashanah, is the next feast to be fulfilled on the prophetic calendar, and there is a prophetic connection between the Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture of the Church. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16, the Apostle Paul said, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who remain alive shall be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.” This is a direct reference to the Feast of Trumpets, which features the blowing of trumpets. It symbolizes the moment Christ will return for His church . Given that the first four feasts were fulfilled on their specific feast days, many believe the rapture may similarly occur on the Feast of Trumpets. Because the exact timing of the rapture remains a mystery, Christians must live in a state of spiritual vigilance – i.e., RAPTURE READY! Tonight, at 6:00 PM, I will introduce a two-part sermon on God’s Prophetic Calendar entitled: “The Seven Feasts of Israel” based on Leviticus 23:1-44. From the beginning, God the Father’s desire was to have a personal, intimate relationship with those He created. He also took the initiative in developing that relationship by establishing seven annual “appointed times” for His people to stop their work and worship Him.

In Colossians 2:16-17, Paul said Christians are not “required” to celebrate the Jewish Feasts, for they were, or will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ!

The Feast of Firstfruits – Leviticus 23:9-14.

The Feast of Pentecost – Leviticus 23:15-21.

The Feast of Trumpets – Leviticus 23:23-25.

The Day of Atonement – Leviticus 23:26-32.

The Feast of Tabernacles – Leviticus 23:33-44.

The seven feasts are bound together by “the Sabbath,” – which means to “cease work” or to “rest from one’s labor”!
