“The Rapture of the Church” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The dramatic rise in what can only be explained as Satanic activity should awaken us to the reality that we live in what the Bible describes as the last days of this age. Likewise, the destructive nature of current global events should remind us of what the Apostle John said would happen on earth during the seven-year tribulation. In other words, the increasing darkness of our days is just a precursor to what is soon to come. However, while as Christians, we may face discrimination, persecution, and even martyrdom in the days ahead, we must not allow the problems of the present or the fear of the future to rob us of our blessed hope, and that is the imminent return of Jesus Christ to remove us from this earth and to take us to the Father’s House. (John 14:1-3, Titus 2:11-14) Our second sermon in this series entitled: God’s Unfolding Drama of Redemption is “The Rapture of the Church.” Contrary to those who believe the rapture was an idea the Apostle Paul fabricated to give hope to Christians suffering persecution, the “rapture of the Church” is the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ to those who believe in Him.
