This Sunday at 5:00 PM, we will continue our series of sermons on “The Progress of Redemption.” In the Bible, the progress of redemption shows how God’s plan to rescue humanity from the curse of sin unfolds in stages throughout history. The theme of redemption is that God buys back what was lost to sin, restoring humanity to a right relationship with Him. This progression is often outlined in several key phases: The Promise (Old Testament) : Beginning with the fall of Adam and Eve, God initiates a covenant. Through figures such as Abraham, the nation of Israel, and the sacrificial system, God lays a foundation that foreshadows a coming Savior. The Purchase (Gospels): The progress reaches its focal point in the New Testament with Jesus Christ. His life, atoning death, and resurrection serve as the “price paid” to redeem humanity from guilt and slavery to sin. The Proclamation (Church Age) : The mission expands globally as the message of redemption is spread through the Church, inviting all people into reconciliation with God. This is where we are in God’s plan of redemption. The Perfection (Eternity): The final stage involves the complete eradication of sin and the renewal of creation into a new heaven and new earth. In our next sermon, see how God took the initiative in redeeming us from our sin through His call to Abraham. Please review Genesis 12:1-3. Please review the attached study guide and share it with others who may benefit from it. Please share these guides with anyone who may find them helpful. Your responses are very encouraging.
