Daniel’s visions deal with the “times of the Gentiles” and their God-ordained role in His sovereign plan of redemption.

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream bothered him so much he demanded someone to interpret it for him.

In his prayer, Daniel thanked God for giving him:

“I saw a beast rise up out of the sea; having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns and upon his heads the name of blasphemy, and the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as of the bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and his great authority.” Revelation 13–Also see Daniel 7

A stone, cut without hands, struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. The iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold were crushed together, and became like chaff; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found.

And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth—the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed.
