I am amazed and humbled by the response to this study on Apologetics. Not only has the Sunday evening attendance exceeded my expectations, but the number of YouTube viewers has been incredible. To be honest, I am surprised, and I thank all of you for passing these study guides along to those you think might be interested., All Apologetics must begin with the affirmation of the Bible as the divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God. The concept of inerrancy means the Bible is free from error in its original manuscripts. At the same time, infallibility asserts that it is incapable of leading believers astray in matters of faith and practice. These principles form the foundation of Christian apologetics, which seeks to defend the Christian faith against objections and criticisms. According to the most recent surveys, the majority of those who claim to be Christians cannot explain what they believe about God, about Christ, about the Holy Spirit, or their salvation.

In his first epistle, the Apostle Peter urged his readers to “Always be ready to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15)

The word “Bible” comes from the Greek word “Byblos ,” which means “book” – the name given to the inner bark of the papyrus tree, which was first used to make a paper-like sheet that would absorb ink without smearing the letters.

The English word “inspired” comes from the Greek word “theopneustos,” which means “God-breathed.”

The real purpose of the Scriptures is to make the readers “ Wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
