The Communist Manifesto that was written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848, is the foundational basis for today’s push toward Socialism.  One of their proposals was to abolish the family , which they knew would eventually destroy the effectiveness of the church, which would eventually destroy man’s concept of God, which would eventually destroy the moral virtues of society. Here we are – this is what it looks like when the god of this age is in charge, and he is using every weapon in his arsenal to accomplish that goal. This is the subject of our next sermon in this series on Spiritual Warfare. The title is “Satan’s Attack on the Family.”

Every born-again believer is involved in a cosmic spiritual war between God and Satan.

Then, the three consequences of Adam and Eve’s sin get intertwined within this spiritual warfare.

When we received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, while our spirits were born again, our soul was not. Therefore:

The god of this age has infected the major social systems of society.

“ The Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”

Deuteronomy 6:1-8 – “ Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength, and these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
