“I Believe in the Resurrection of the Body” 1 Corinthians 15:50-58

The Bible teaches that our physical death is not the end—it is the doorway to everlasting life. However, our eternal destiny is not determined after death; it is determined before it. The bodies of those who received God’s gift of salvation through their expressed faith in Jesus Christ will be raised from their graves, or raptured from the earth, to spend eternity with the One who saved them. In contrast, those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. This sobering truth should move us to examine our hearts today. Since salvation is found in Christ alone, the invitation of the gospel is still open to all who will repent and believe. Scripture declares, “Now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Pastor J.C. Ryle once said, “ You will spend eternity in the condition in which you die. If you die in Christ, you’ll spend eternity in Him. If you die outside of Christ, then you’ll spend eternity outside of Him. In Romans 6:4-5, the Apostle Paul wrote: “ Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.”
