“From Golgotha to Glory” Matthew 28:1-20

Jesus said the indisputable evidence of His deity would be that “As Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so would He be in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:40) Regardless of how it is calculated, it is impossible to get three days and three nights from Friday to Sunday, and yet, that religious tradition has been accepted by the majority of believers since 325 AD. The very evidence Jesus said would prove His deity has been trumped by tradition. For a believer to rightly divide the Word of Truth, and to comprehend God’s plan for our redemption, they must be able to rightly discern truth from tradition regarding the birth, the life, the death, the resurrection, the ascension, and the imminent return of the Lord, Jesus Christ – they must understand the timeline of prophecy.
