The Marxists philosophy of education says: “Give me your children for four years, and the seeds I plant will never be uprooted.” (Lenin) Sadly, that is the philosophy of education to which our children are being exposed today. Part of President Obama’s plan to fundamentally transform America was to indoctrinate our children into a worldview that is totally contrary to the biblical principles upon which America was founded. He has succeeded. However, a society cannot survive very long when its children and grandchildren are taught to hate the very things that made it successful. As Abraham Lincoln said years ago: “The philosophy of the classroom in this generation will be the philosophy of politics, government, and life in the next generation.” The title of this sermon is: “Dare to be a Daniel,” a challenge to our students to remain faithful to God in the very challenging days ahead. With all due respect to those Christians and dedicated public servants who teach in our schools, colleges, and universities, what passes for acceptable education today is an absolute shame.

Three steps to “fundamentally transform America.”

A society cannot survive when its children are taught to hate the very things that made it successful. And while we see such hate in all forms of the media, we must understand the origin of it was in the public classroom.

Daniel was chosen by God to show God’s people how to live in the presence of evil but to keep their focus upon God. Therefore, the purpose of this sermon is to challenge today’s youth:

Daniel and his friends were taken captive as teenagers and taken to live in the wicked city of Babylon. Daniel and his friends faced a crisis of:

Nebuchadnezzar gave these young men new names to remind them they were no longer under the authority of the God of Israel, but rather under the rule of a Chaldean King.

Nebuchadnezzar’s four-fold strategy of indoctrination is still being used on our youth today:

Daniel and his friends were chosen to stand before the King, and Daniel remained at his post for the rest of his 85-years.
