In 2015, I published the book “Silent No More” – The Cost of Cultural Compromise* . The book focused on the ten issues Christians should not be silent about, including the sanctity of human life. However, according to the polls, the one segment of our society that may determine the winner of next week’s election are women, 18-35, who want to maintain the legal right to, in effect, kill their babies. Of course, they couch that in a much nicer phrase, such as “women’s reproductive rights,” but call it what you will – the baby is going to be killed. While there are several significant issues other than abortion that will determine the moral pathway for our nation’s future, including the freedom of speech, which will include the freedom to preach, Vice President Kamala Harris has said, “I pledge to you, when Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom nationwide, as President of the United States, I will proudly sign it into law.” Can you imagine the increase in the number of aborted babies? Beloved, when Christians don’t vote, we open the door for every evil ideology and vain philosophy to flourish. Your vote is not just a mark on a ballot, it is a powerful tool to shape the future for generations to come. Unless Christians speak up today, America will soon be immersed in socialism, and our grandchildren will grow up in communism. Unless Christians speak up today, the “Confessing Church” will soon be silenced, not by decree, but by default. Your actions can make a difference. In Sunday’s sermon, I will challenge God’s people to answer “The Call to Courage.” I will exhort every born-again believer to answer that call by taking a stand on the moral issues by voting in this election. Those who do not answer the call today will respond to the Lord Jesus on that day, which is soon to come. We want to express our deep gratitude for your participation in sharing these sermon study guides with those you believe might be interested. Your involvement is not only appreciated but vital to our Live Stream Ministry. We genuinely appreciate your help and value your contributions. Your insights and comments are not just read but cherished as they enrich our community. *To review and order the book, click on: Silent No More: Wayne J. Edwards: 9781498454506 – Christianbook.com

The timeless truth of this letter is that those who believe the gospel and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, will be persecuted by those who do not.
According to George Barna, Director of the Cultural Research Center of Arizona Christian University, 104 million people of faith are unlikely to vote in Tuesday’s election; 32 million of those are self-identified Christians who are actively involved in their local churches. The reasons listed:
Biblically speaking, sins of “omission” are just as serious as sins of “commission,” for what we fail to do when we should is just as sinful as what we do when we should not. “To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” – James 4:17
In Matthew 24:48-51, Jesus said the closer we get to the last days of the church age, the more God’s people will lose their courage as they see the disturbing events of the world, and many will turn from their true faith in God’s promise, and find peace through their appeasement with the world.
The two main reasons why Christians have lost their sense of urgency about the rapture of the Church, the return of Jesus Christ, and their responsibility to share the gospel:
The call to courage is to live as God’s people in this ungodly world until Jesus comes again. Therefore, regardless of how ungodly it gets or how hard it is to live for Christ in an Anti-Christian society, Christians are to be: “ Steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor.15:57-58
